<image:title>About - Hi! I’m Tayma - a multicultural being residing in Montclair, NJ with my two daughters, rescue dog, and husband. I delight in the search for balance, joy, and ways to be of service for others. I’m an eternal student and love to learn. Movement and yoga is my calling especially when used to help others feel safe, seen, and strong. I have a background in mental health counseling which helps inform my yoga practice and nutrition coaching. From having a difficult postpartum experience (which too many people do), I decided to specialize in maternal care and support new and expecting mothers through pre/postnatal yoga, meditation, support circles, and nutrition coaching. I believe that my role as a teacher is to offer others a safe space where they feel open to heal, free to move in a way that serves them, and build strength and endurance that translates off the mat. I also love to curate playlists and use the power of music and movement together to create flow in the body and mind. I’m a voracious reader of novels and will always appreciate any fiction recommendations (my nose will 95% of the time be in a book).</image:title>

I like to infuse fluidity and creativity in my flows as well as offer strengthening exercises. A large emphasis on the breath, which serves as a multifaceted tool to anchor to the present, help manage challenging poses, and encourage relaxation. Inspired through music, my goal is to help students feel a sense of wholeness in their body and mind, find joy and strength that they can take with them off the mat. <image:caption>“Mothers cannot give from a depleted source. Every mother needs emotional mental, physical and spiritual validation, nourishment, and support.” The postpartum period is one of complete transformation and recovery. Recovering from a traumatic birth experience, exhaustion, lack of sleep, it is a difficult time for most. I am here to help provide emotional support and nourishment. I help meal plan, inform on the key nutrients for energy and breastfeeding, and can provide meal delivery services as well if you are in my area. I help arm you with knowledge to make the most of your nutrient choices to nourish yourself and baby.</image:caption>
